Not too long ago, I picked up a desktop laser engraver. As I’ve been learning to use it, I’ve found that using templates makes things go a lot easier. Particularly for projects I want to repeat - like making coasters.

I think I came to that realization rather quickly because of how much I use templates in marketing. ”Never start with a blank page” is a pretty good mantra for any business owner.

Now that I’m thinking about it, I started using templates and checklists in my professional life when I was a young auditor. They were key to consistently producing quality work papers in the short amount of time we had on an audit.
