That saying was coined by 1970s football coach Darrell Royal. He was talking about his starting lineup and how they had contributed to their success.
I think that’s a great motto for consultants and business owners. It’s easy to get caught up in marketing for new clients. But don’t forget about your existing (and former) ones.
I’m a big believer in the idea that clients come to us with projects - something they need help with. But after they become clients, it’s our responsibility to bring new project ideas to them.
So if you’re looking for additional sales this month, start with the one who “brung ya.”
