The Power of a Good Offer

Great marketing cannot overcome a mediocre offer.

But a good offer can overcome mediocre marketing.

The great copywriters and marketers of the past understood that after your list (or audience), your offer is the most important factor in your sales success.

Yet, we often shortchange our offers.

Particularly in the consulting and professional services world. Offers are often thought of as just “X service for Y price.” Which is why too many people end up competing solely based on price.

Price and deliverables are only 2 components of an offer. You also need to communicate features, benefits (functional, dimensionalized, emotional), value prop, proof, a reason to act, etc.

If you not getting the results you want from marketing and sales, don’t start by looking for the newest, shiny tool or tactic.

Start by beefing up the value of your offer.

And This…

"We could end up with 100 swearing parrots on our hands.” That’s according to the CEO of a British zoo when talking about the plan to “cure” their potty-mouth parrots.
