Gladwell's Back, Tracking Conversations, and a Giant Chicken

The Business Builder Vol 2 Issue 22

The Fundamentals Don’t Change

According to my ChatGPT robot, 2014 is likely the last year when Black Friday sales began exclusively on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Back in those “Olden Times,” marketing your business was much simpler. There were only four core outcomes marketing could deliver. They were increased:

  • Awareness

  • Leads

  • Sales

  • Retention

And while the holiday shopping season continues to stretch, those four core marketing outcomes remain unchanged.

No matter the trends or tactics, your business’s success still hinges on increasing awareness, leads, sales, and retention.

Which makes those four outcomes a great filter for the barrage of offers for new tools and tactics that will flood your inbox in the coming year. Ask yourself:

  1. Which, if any, of the four outcomes will this help me achieve?

  2. Is that the outcome I should be focused on right now?

By focusing on these four core outcomes, you'll cut through the noise and invest your time and resources where they matter most.
