Less Content. More Authority.

The Business Builder Volume 3 Issue 23

Less is more

“I need to produce more content.”

That thought might cross your mind as you work on your 2026 marketing plan.

More posts.
More articles.
More videos.
More everything.

But when AI can generate infinite content at zero cost, producing more won’t help you stand out.

Saying something worth remembering will.

Volume isn’t the problem. Differentiation is.

Your ideal clients aren’t starved for content. They hunger for:

  • clarity

  • perspective

  • a point of view they can trust

You don’t need to be a content machine.

You need to take a position.

Too many accountants and consultants publish generic tips that blend into the noise.

The professionals gaining traction today are doing the opposite:

  • They pick one idea.

  • They sharpen it.

  • They talk about it consistently.

That idea becomes their signature line of thinking.

Authority doesn’t come from frequency. It comes from framing:

  • a clear argument

  • a strong stance

  • a consistent philosophy

  • a recognizable way of explaining the world to your clients

Think about the thought leaders you follow. Are you following them because they post daily? Or because they have a framework or idea that sticks?

Your clients want that from you, too.

Give it a try

  1. Write down the strongest belief you hold about your work.

  2. Turn that belief into a single sentence clients could repeat.

  3. Build your next 3–5 pieces of content around that idea. Use different angles but deliver the same message.

  4. Watch how people begin to associate you with that line of thinking.

This is how you separate yourself in an AI-driven world.

Not with more words.

With clearer ones.
