Fewer Channels, Clicking Bots, and the Power of Nice

Too Many Channels

It’s easy to see how it happens…

Every marketing audit or assessment out there comes back with a laundry list of channels you “should be” leveraging.

Your inbox and social media feeds are full of messages screaming that you need to be doing more, more, more.

In reality, most consultants, advisors, and other experts only 2 or 3 channels, including referrals.

And, you DON’T want to add them all at once. Add one, build it up until it is generating consistent and predictable results, then (and only then) work on adding another.

What do consistent and predictable results look like? That depends on your business, but for most people reading this newsletter it will be something like this:

  • 1 channel

  • generating $10k - $50k per month (with the ability to scale higher)

  • 3 months in a row

Until then you’re better off doubling down on a single channel that is producing results rather than trying to add another one to the mix.
