3 Questions That Lead to More Business

Creating Awareness (the first Core 4 marketing objective) typically includes advertising, SEO, direct outreach, and other tactics to attract strangers to become clients.

Turning strangers into clients is the most difficult and expensive part of marketing.

It’s easier to land new business by starting with the people who already know us - and the people who know them. Here are three questions to ask about every client that will boost awareness and help you win more projects.

  1. Where else can I help? If your clients are businesses with multiple departments, locations, etc., building awareness with the decision-makers of those different units can lead to additional work.

  2. How else can I help? Clients often think that the problem they hired you to solve is all that you do. Be sure to build awareness for your other services.

  3. Who else can I help? “Birds of a feather flock together.” Decision-makers know other decision-makers, particularly within their industry. Don’t be afraid to ask, “Who else do you think I should be talking to.”

Build the habit of asking these three questions for each of your current and past clients and fill your pipeline with new opportunities.
